Even more I love the fine lines and scratches that come with old age (except the ones on my face). If something is already distressed an additional scratch here and there only enhances the look. If you’ve got kids you know the value of a distressed dining table, especially in the home school age. And if you are a less than perfect painter like me, chalk paint is your best friend to transform a nearly obsolete piece of furniture.
You don’t need to distress everything in your house, as tempting as that may be. But go ahead and embrace the scraped wood floors. Go with the distressed tile look. Unfinished is the new finished. Make it work for you. ###
